Veterans are trained and experienced soldiers of the Royal Navy who can be found in Navy forts, outposts, and Navy vessels - particularly in areas where Jolly Roger's army of undead are on the march.
They can knock out an inexperienced pirate with only a few pokes of their bayonets; however, they can be extremely useful for getting experience points for lower level weapons. A particular example of this would be the group of 6 veterans in Kingshead for training an "Area of Effect" weapon such as grenade.
Appearing at levels 13-19 (Health 1250-1550), they attack with rifle stock and bayonet.
