Silver Freeze (previously known as Mercer's Blades) are currently the only Legendary Throwing Knives in the Caribbean. These knives have the unique Silver Freeze ability, (which is similar to the Freeze Sweep ability of the World Eater Blade) for which the weapon is named. They also give a +3 Blade Instinct boost. They have very intricately shaped handles, and if you look closely, you can also see ancient patterns carved into the blades. They require a Dagger Master in order to wield them. These knives could also be mistaken for Assassin's Throwing Knives or Master Throwing Knives .

The Legendary Silver Freeze is one of the daggers that once belonged to Abu Nar's most skillful assassin. It's said the infamous dagger has the power to freeze its victims leaving the dagger's owner to carry out his mission without any interruptions. Rumor also has it that the dagger is controlled by a powerful gypsy curse but only those who wield this legendary dagger can testify to its powers.

Game Notes
- These knives have become much more common since the addition of Foulberto Smasho on Raven's Cove, who is a player's best bet at recovering a set of these legendary knives. Make sure to get a crew first though!
- The original name comes from Beckett's right-hand man, Ian Mercer - a lethal assassin with a blade in addition to his other duties for the East India Trading Company.
- Despite what most pirates tell you, Silver Freeze can be found on places other then Raven's Cove. Though very uncommon, they have been found at General Darkhart, Undead Timothy Dartan, and even Bonerattler!
