Robert Bristol was a citizen of Raven's Cove and the fiance of Loretta Jenkins. He was the captain of The Flounder, a galleon due to return any day for his wedding with his beloved Loretta.
However, their marriage was not to be. Loretta was killed by Jolly Roger's forces during the Battle of Raven's Cove, and Bristol's ship was later torn asunder by the treacherous rocks surrounding the cove. Several pirates attempted to aid Loretta in finding his spirit so that they may be reunited in death, but these searches amounted to nothing. She vowed to find him before disappearing into the mist, never to be seen again.
For years, it seemed that all hope of reuniting the mournful lovers was lost. However, pirates have recently discovered that Bristol does indeed still linger on in the world of the living, trapped in the darkness of the Undead Poker Jail by Roger's cruel magic. With no apparent means of escape, his fate remains uncertain.
But, he will heal visitors to the jail who have been injured from the potentially deadly game.
