Oliver Ridgeway is a former Royal Navy marine officer turned pirate, and now an officer in The Keepers of the Code guild.
Oliver was one of the first pirates recruited into The Keepers and helps Alaina keep tabs on their many spies. A more recent art of his duties on Bilgewater is helping curb the threat of the dangerous wildlife found in The Everlasting Falls.

Oliver is a stout, bearded gent with the athletic build of a former soldier. He sports a notable facial scar.

Background[]
There is not a lot of information about Oliver prior to his service years for the crown. He earned his commission toughing out the hardened training and then with years of loyal duty. Finally, he was promoted to the rank of marine officer of a detachment aboard a Royal Navy ship.
It was there, however, that Oliver witnessed not only on-going cruelty to the sailors and soldiers but he saw the corruption of his fellow officers. His only friend among the other commissioned men was Doc Pierce - the ship's surgeon. In time, they realized they were the only other person each could trust.
When Oliver reached his breaking point, he jumped ship and became a pirate. At some point, he attracted the attention of The Keepers of the Code and was recruited into their membership. His experience and martial skills proved invaluable. Later, he managed to steal aboard his old ship and convince Pierce to leave with him.
Now, in his middle-age Oliver's years at sea and in combat are catching up to his body. He suffers regularly from chronic back and foot pain. Fortunately, Doc Pierce has been able to treat the Former Marine and keep him soldiering on.
His Sword[]
Oliver carries an intimidating weapon; a sword that appears almost like a Nordic two-handed broadsword. But, he can wield this mighty blade as swiftly as a smaller cutlass. It's said that it not only can Drain Health of his enemies, but restore the health of his allies using Captain's Resolve.
Should the pirate complete the Story Quest: The Keepers of the Code, a copy of this impressive weapon is available as a reward.

Oliver spends most of his time in the darkened backroom of the Festering Fish surrounded by a few pirate friends.

As part of Story Quest: The Keepers of the Code, the pirate will undertakes Oliver's usual task of keeping tabs on the Everlasting Falls and culling the swarms of creatures there to help keep Bilgewater safe.
