Jeremiah Seastone was a pirate who was the original head and founder of The Keepers of the Code, currently led by his daughter Alaina Seastone.
Bio[]
Not a lot is known of Jeremiah's past, but it is known that he grew to be a pirate of infamous reputation as his power and influence grew within the Brethren Court. He did not seek to become a Pirate Lord himself, but was very adamant about following the Pirate's Code. His strict adherence gained the eye of Captain Teague. And when the venerable Pirate Lord became the most recent Keeper of the Pirate's Code, Teague took Jeremiah in confidence.
Being able to enforce the word of Pirata Codex and guidelines set down by Morgan and Bartholomew was not an easy task for a single man. Teague and Seastone created The Keepers of the Code - a secret organization that would carry out the will of the Brethren Court on those who did not follow The Code.
The Staff[]
To carry out his task, Seastone and Teague commissioned a gypsy to craft a voodoo staff of enormous power. A magical weapon that made even the hardest pirates think twice before wavering from the guidelines. The staff's head is powered by a mysterious yellow gemstone, rumored to come from The Gilded Quarry.
Bilgewater[]
Wanting to keep close watch on the Caribbean, but remain distance enough for secrecy, Seastone sought out various spits of land across the sea and came across Bilgewater. It suited his needs perfectly.
The island was once home to a gold mining operation and a small Spanish colony town, which was later abandoned. Jeremiah and The Keepers repaired the buildings and fortified the Town Center walls. In the exhausted Gilded Quarry, he had a young gypsy Madam Bernadette cast a voodoo spell to multiply the remaining gold ore. The newfound riches meant his island could now sustain itself.

The Keepers of the Code[]
During Jeremiah's time as the Guildmaster, The Keepers functioned primarily as the Brethren Court's enforcers; pirates who would showed no mercy and complete loyalty to their task. He recruited numerous pirates, some quite infamous on their own accord. To brazenly defy The Court was to tempt fate itself.
His Daughter[]
Jeremiah raised his child, Alaina in the pirate's life. Little is known about her mother but she grew up amongst the members of the Brethren Court. She learned all her father had to teach her of piracy and The Pirate's Code. When his time came, Jeremiah bequeathed all he had to the one pirate he trusted above all others.
Alaina was granted his position as leader of The Keepers, along with everything that went with it. That included control of Bilgewater and possession of his voodoo staff.
Though some in the court might have questioned his decision, fear of Jeremiah and Captain Teague kept any such thoughts quiet. In the ten years since, Alaina has not only proven herself worthy but expanded The Keepers to become a vast network of intelligence gathering and spies through the Caribbean.
