Hammering is a Ship Repair mini-game, pirates can play in order to fix their vessel at sea, or earn some extra gold at tables stationed at each Shipwright stand. These tables are marked with signs, indicating the difficulty of the repairs.

At sea, simply walk to a part of our ship that has a hole in the deck and press Shift. When sailing, the difficulty will vary depending on how damaged your ship is.
Play Hammering[]
Looks simple enough, just hit the nail on the head. But, you must hit the nail exactly when the cross-hairs are in the correct spot or you must keep pounding until the nail finally goes in.
In this challenge, move the hammer over a nail. A target will appear and begin to grow and shrink above the nail.
Try to time your left-click when the target is the smallest for the greatest impact. If you miss, you can keep hitting until it's all the way down.
When playing on land, the longer it takes, the less gold you will get because you're taking too long.
