The Governor's Mansion is the elegant home of Port Royal's Governor Weatherby Swann and his daughter, Elizabeth Swann. It sits at the top of a hill overlooking the town. Though not a separate area, the mansion house is walled off to limit access to local citizenry and is guarded by numerous Royal Navy Cadets - which are no threat to even a moderately skilled buccaneer.
Exterior[]
The Mansion sits inside a walled estate. The outer atrium is a small wooded area, while the inner walls house a manicured lawn, shrubs and a running fountain.
Originally, the outer walled area was much larger. In fact, the gypsy Lucinda's cart was once on the Mansion's property just inside the gate.
Interior[]
The pirate is allowed into a receiving room once past the set of double doors.
This area, well-adorned with light fixtures, bookcases and a large desk, functions as a working office for Governor Swann.
At the times the pirate will visit, Elizabeth Swann can be seen sitting or standing behind the desk. She may refer to her father being away on urgent business and she will act in his stead.
The pirate is not allowed beyond this room or other areas inside the Mansion itself.
Invasion![]
Jolly Roger used Captain Ezekiel Rott and the Casa de Muertos guild to trick pirates into making Port Royal vulnerable to attack. Now, the Governor's Mansion is his main target as his undead armies siege the island during an Invasion.
If the pirates are unsuccessful in stopping the advancing undead, the mansion will appear to be damaged and burning for a short time.
Quests[]
The player pirate may be asked to return to the mansion during various fortune quests as well as the main story quests.
The Dagger Quest[]
Once a pirate has reached level 10, they will get their newest weapon quest, Weapon Unlock: Dagger. On this quest, you will go to the Governor's Mansion to visit Elizabeth multiple times.
The Nine Rogues[]
This is a set of pirate Treasures that will become available when the pirate reaches Level 16 Notoriety. Elizabeth Swann will invite you to the mansion and ask you to locate and retrieve a collection of paintings. Each painting is of one member of the Brethren Court.
