The Cleave cutlass skill is the third combo ability for the sword the pirate can learn. The pirate performs a quite powerful downward stroke that could cut some minor enemies in two!

Increasing this ability, increases the amount of damage & slow duration. Unlocked at Cutlass Skill - Level 4.
