Do I have to do the bilgewater quest first in order to get legendaries, kinda like the ravens cove quest?

My guess is that he was just being sarcastic and really meant that he hated him cuz he didn’t like how he was holding him hostage

It would be amazing to see expanded jewlery options, like smooth nose rings, as well as bracelets and necklaces, with designs such as crosses, the cursed medallion from Curse of the Black Pearl (2003), and gemstones.

Was something that I came across, and I heard someone else had the issue as well. I figure I write a report up on it, in case this helps someone else too!

So, if your Anti-Aliasing is set to anything but "Off", it will produce a wireframe like effect on the water. To fix it, just keep your Anti-Aliasing off. All your other settings should be fine however!

Now that the Pirates Forums are no longer open, I have finally decided to make an account on our wiki so that I can remain somewhat in the loop with other members of the POTCO/TLOPO community. Unfortunately, the forums were closed for discussions a little while after the Pypperoni update from last year around late Spring. When the update first occurred, several players experienced issues, but it seemed to have resolved for most after a few months. I, however, have been largely unable to play the game for about a year now. Every time I log in, the game crashes (taking me back to the launcher) either while loading or upon arriving at the Play screen. This has continued to occur regardless of how many times I reinstall the game and regardless of whether or not I have put it on my antivirus software's allow list. I have messaged the developers numerous times on the Feedback page on TLOPO's website, but nothing has changed. I know I'm not alone; there were a few others who voiced a similar issue on the forums site just before its closing. However, seeing as how I, and those facing similar issues, cannot communicate with others on the forums any longer, I am hoping that there are a few people here on the wiki who might be able to offer some input on the situation.

I'm in the "Claude D'Arcis' Henchmen" quest on The Liberation Of The Black Pearl, but I've been stuck here for ages - does anyone have a solution for the Thieves Den freezing up? I've tried different servers, turning the music off... When I first walk in (when it doesn't immediately crash) I can attack or run past the first few scorpions or bats (there's usually a floating scorpion, which doesn't seem to be a good sign), but the game stops responding as soon as I'm within eyeshot of the Navy Guards who I'm trying to defeat every time. Oftentimes I'll start back in jail when I reopen the game, so it would seem the game is going on without me, but I have no idea why or how I can fix it.

Can't complete the Memory Cure quest because there aren't any EITC Mercenaries on the entire Kingshead island (Just Hired Guns and Thugs). I left the island and came back just in case it needed to refresh the enemies, but it did not fix the problem. I restarted the game, just in case, and again, no luck. I would really appreciate if someone could help with this. As I post this, I wonder if changing servers would help. I'm currently using the Abassa server.

Every time I try and complete the Black Pearl rescue, my screen either takes so long to load that it glitches me out of the lobby, or by the time i get on the ship, i'm instantly dead or my crew isn't there anymore.

Is there a way to stop this from happening? I can't move past this point without it and its getting really frustrating

I'm on the mission: Black Pearl Recruit: Gordon Greer and I need to bribe this guy so I can talk to Greer, but I can't even bribe him. All that shows up is an hourglass. Can someone tell me what to do? I even restarted the game.

Something that seems trivial but is annoying to maintain. The Peddler outfit dates. Each Peddler outfit set has a list of months it was offered and the Peddler Category page has a master list. As minor as this seems it means having to update 3-4 pages each month for outfit changes. And does anyone really care if Caribbean Lord was once available on a certain month.

I'd like to change this to keep the FIRST time it appeared in POTCO and TLOPO and be done with it.

When editing articles, be careful to avoid superlatives (especially with weapons and items). These are terms like strongest, weaker, most, least, best, worst.

Early on, these were used very often in regards things like - a gun 'doing the most damage' or a sword being 'the most expensive'.

These should be avoided because with reboots like TLOPO, those become relative and outdated as new items are added or old items that are later nerfed or buffed.

An easy fix would be something like, "this cutlass is one of the most expensive" as opposed to just 'the most expensive' or "The staff has a higher damage than many other famed staves," instead of 'the highest damage'.

Just a heads up to users and contributors, our host site has made some software changes. For the most part it looks like it went smoothly for us.
